Tip 18 - See The Lines

Do you see lines often? I do. Lines can be part of a great composition.

Pay attention to interesting lines. No matter seen from a piece of architecture, a road, a hallway, or a river path in the nature, straight or curvy, in the foreground or background, there are lines almost everywhere in our lives.

If you haven’t done this before, try to see if you can capture a simple line pattern where you want to lead your viewers to. If a person is looking or walking in the direction where the line is leading to, even better. That’s what most photographers describe as “leading lines”.

You can of course learn the rules and break the rules. The following is not what “leading line” typically means in the photography term, but the lines are interesting and form repeat patterns.
